Pack Energy and Travel Limits Calculator

How many Wh is your pack, and can it fly?

Many packs print the Wh on the label. If not, Wh = volts × amp-hours. Everything is worked out in your browser. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.

What this does and doesn't tell you

    • Airline and freight rules change and differ between carriers. Always check before you travel or post batteries.
    • Spare lithium batteries usually must go in carry-on, not checked bags, with the terminals protected.
    • Lithium-ion tool packs can short, overheat and catch fire if they're damaged, wired wrongly or charged on the wrong charger. Only use the maker's charger for the pack.
